The TAMU World Language Academy offers Chinese and Korean language and culture programs to non-heritage language learners (i.e., learners without prior experience in the languages) and has served nearly 400 elementary students through face-to-face and online summer and after-school enrichment programs since 2015.

Our program has been widely-sought in the community and beyond, and the admission rate has been around 20%. We strive to recruit a diverse student body through a randomized selection of applicants stratified by gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic status that reflects the demographics of the community.
